Meet Gemini for Education
Helping to learn without barriers

Google Gemini wants to allow all students to learn in their preferred language so that all can get an education without barriers.
Carlos, an 18-year-old who recently moved to the U.S., is starting college to obtain a high-quality education. The only problem: English is not his first language. Even if he is fluent in the language, that doesn’t mean that it is easy for him to learn in a different language from his native one. This can lead to Carlos feeling isolated, as he is not able to learn as quickly as his classmates, and confused, as he would have to learn on his own.
Carlos’ story is one among the 40 percent of the global population who don’t have access to an education in a language they understand, making learning a challenge rather than an opportunity.
Gemini can transform students’ everyday life by allowing them to upload class content and translate it so that they feel comfortable to learn in their preferred language, at their own pace. Other tools like live translation, bilingual diagrams and charts, and understanding in cultural tonality are also available to make a change in these students’ educational journey.
Small objectives, like being able to understand today’s lesson, can lead to higher participation in class discussion and more interactions with other students. In addition to igniting curiosity in the students who realize they can learn about their favorite topics and explore new ones they had difficulty learning about before.
Teachers can be a part of the change too.
Educators are encouraged to implement Gemini in their workflow. From creating a teaching plan that will be easily translated by Gemini for students, to allowing live translations during their lectures.

From one student to another, with Gemini, we can help communities.
Like Carlos, a student could share this new educational tool with a friend who may be going through the same challenges. His friend can share it with a professor in a different course, and that professor can share it with his entire class. Spreading the possibility of learning with Gemini in the way you are most comfortable with is as simple as that.
2. Case studies that celebrate the artistry can fuel curiosity and ignite inspiration.
Helping one student can make a bigger change in education across the world.
Let’s dive in. With Gemini, learning without barriers starts here.
